INFANT PROGRAM
Infant time period is probably the most significant of development. Children begin learning at birth. I encourage babies to communicate by playing games like peek-a-boo and pat-a-cake. Through holding, singing and talking to your child, I give individualized care and attention that help develop the foundations for language and learning.

BREAST FED BABIES
Provider is supportive of mother’s breast feeding infants. Child care providers must follow specific guidelines when working with Breast Milk. Breast Milk is a body fluid. Provider requires Breast Milk to be supplied in specific color coded or pattern coded bottles, if more then one bottle fed baby is in care at the same time. Provider will discuss these rules individually with each breast feeding mother. Breast Milk must be supplied to the child care in appropriate bottles on a daily basis. A minimum of eight (8) ounces must be provided to the provider to be stored in the freezer as a back up supply.

INFANT SCHEDULES
Provider will attempt to respect and keep the newborn infant feeding schedule requested by the parent if at all possible. Infants on bottles only will be fed when hungry. A hungry infant must not be forced to wait to eat. This is critically important to their brain development. No infant who is hungry will be forced to wait to eat because of parents requested feeding schedule. NO EXCEPTIONS! Infants on solid foods will eat with the child care at regularly scheduled child care meal times.
